Public health is relevant us all. However, all too often we can be turned off by jargon, confusing statistics, and a seeming overabundance of information in this digital age. I hope to change our relationships towards health information by communicating with the public, patients, and clients in language that empowers and informs them. I hope you enjoy what you see here. What’s the logo about?
For as long as I can remember, I have had some sort of camera in my hand. I always knew I wanted to work with visual art, but it wasn’t until I designed this logo (and got the subsequent tattoo of it) that I realized I wanted to use my skills and passions in photography and visual art for service and for bringing some form of joy or relief to others. The logo is a camera aperture cut to resemble a smiley face. I have it tattooed on my left forearm so that whenever I have a camera in my hands I’m reminded that I should be using whatever I’m shooting to aid others in their happiness, education, health, and wellbeing.
